LET YOUR HEART STAY FIXED
TEXT
Psalm 57:7-8 (NKJV)
“My heart is steadfast, O God, my heart is steadfast: I will sing and give praise. Awake, my glory! Awake, lute and harp! I will awaken the dawn.”
THE GIST
“Focus on God, not your problem. Listen to God, not your insecurities. Rely on God, not your own strength.” In scripture, when things are repeated it shows importance and conviction. Notice how he repeats the word steadfast! Can you sense his determination in spite of the situation? Fixed means to fasten securely in a particular position, to decide and settle on.
David settled on a position of praise to God, determined to rise up early and use his instruments in adoration and worship whether the circumstances are favorable or not.
Are you fixed like this too? Let nothing rob you of your ministry of worship to the Lord. Do not restrict your praise worship to only Sunday services or public fellowships. Revive your altar of praise today! Despise the feelings. Mock the mocker. Get up early and worship God, even if you can’t seem to find any reason to.
Put on the music player or play the beats in your head, anyways just sing, dance and make music in your closet. Exalt your Father and see Him rise in His glory and power.
PRAYER CONFESSION
I worship the Lord with the whole of my heart, might, and strength. I will praise God at all times and in all things. Songs of praise rise from my lips everyday and every hour.
My heart is fixed on gratitude, I’m forever grateful to the Omnipotent God in Jesus name 🙏
