Need to pray for the Missionaries

Calvary greetings. Indeed God has been gracious to us, and we give all glory and honour to Him. We also appreciate your unceasing partnership with our ministry.

The call to pray for missionaries reflects in the words of Amy Carmichael, a missionary to India and it says:
“If you are ever inclined to pray for a missionary, do it at once, where ever you are. Perhaps he may be in a great peril at that moment.”

Our missionary, Musa Danladi serving in Kwalita mission field located at FCT, Abuja was kidnapped yesterday 10th February, 2023 around 11am on his way back to the mission field. He left the mission field early in the morning that day to a nearby town about 22km away to charge his phone. He was to wait for his phone to get fully charged but he wouldn’t know what prompted him to leave it there until the next day.

On his way back to the field, he was kidnapped along with another person and they were taken to a deep forest. His motorcycle was abandoned on the road. They were asked to make contacts with their phones but Musa Danladi didn’t have his phone on him.

Argument ensued amongst the kidnappers, all Fulanis what they Will do to this poverty-stricken person who doesn’t have a phone to contact his people for the ransom.

After several hours around 9pm, their leader who spoke from a veil told them to release him. The missionary overheard them asking for 10 million naira ransom from the family of the other person.

Our God was at work because the ministry would’ve been contacted for a ransom or even terminating the life of the missionary.
