October – December 2014
We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not
in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.
2 Cor 4:8-10
Calvary greetings in Jesus name.
Thank you so much for your consistency in joining hands with us in the task of reaching the unreached people. Words are inadequate to capture how your partnership has remained great encouragement and inspiration to us. We have been quite overwhelmed by many odds against the advance of the gospel in these past months. They were months of multidimensional pressures but we thank God we are not crushed by the Boko Haram and the Fulani Herdsmen insurgency. Amidst the pressure, God helped us to accomplish greater heights in advancing the Kingdom of God. We are so certain that God is in control and the gate of hell shall not prevail against the Church.
North East of Nigeria
The security situation in the North-East of Nigeria became very alarming. Following the increase of SMS threat by the Boko Haram, the death of two missionaries, the disappearance of a missionary family and narrow escape of many others, majority of missionaries were temporarily withdrawn from this geographical area of Nigeria. Please, we will continue to solicit your prayers for the sustenance of the converts even in the absence of the missionaries. We are trusting God to bring in mightier harvest than ever.
Research Survey – North West of Nigeria.
We embarked on a research trip to Gwandu Emirate in Kebbi State with the view of discovering unreached people group in this part of Nigeria. We were shocked of what we found on ground. Because of the security we cannot give details; but pray along with us as we pray through the information gathered for eventual missions field, necessary funds and missionaries that will reside among the people. We engaged in prayer walk of all the villages visited because of volatile environment.
General.
a. We are still supporting more missionaries that are in the Northern Nigeria on monthly basis in order to encourage them for effective and efficient missionary work in respective of their mission agency or church. We thank for God’s faithfulness in sustaining this vision on the missionaries.
b. Through the help of partners, we constructed a new pulpit to replaced assemble of blocks pulpit in Taraba State. We give God the glory.
c. More unreached people surrendered their lives to Jesus in Bauchi, Taraba & Benue states. Details constraint for security purposes.
As usual, we cannot give you detail reports of great things happening in answer to your prayers among unreached people groups with security implications.
Finally, as a reminder, may I again share with you the reality of the words of Oswald J. Smith:
* If I refuse to give, I practically cast a ballot for recall of missionaries
* If I give less, I am calling for reduction
* If aI give same, I am saying there should be no progress
* If I increase my offering, I am calling for ADVANCEMENT !
We appreciate your continual support for this Missions Outreach. We pray that God will meet you at the point of your needs as well as provide you seeds to sow into His Kingdom. We solicit your prayers more for protection, encouragement and grace to cope will all emerging challenges.
Merry Christmas and Prosperous New Year in Jesus Name.
Yours in His Exciting Service
